How Tyamka's 15 games open inside Telegram, what differs from the website, what gets saved, and how a one-time purchase with Telegram Stars works.

All 15 Tyamka games can be played inside Telegram. You open them from our bot, they run in a window inside the chat app, and you do not install anything or create an account. There are no ads in the Telegram version. This article explains how it works, what is the same as on the website, what is saved and how buying the full version with Telegram Stars works. What a Telegram mini app is

Telegram lets bots open small web apps right inside the chat app. Telegram calls them Mini Apps. For you this means a game opens in a panel in Telegram, the way a link would open in a browser, but without leaving the app. There is nothing to download from an app store, and it runs in the Telegram apps that support Mini Apps.

Our games are the same web games you can play on the website. Inside Telegram they get a few extras. The Back button in Telegram takes you back through the game screens, and a vertical swipe during a round does not close the game by accident. The games keep their own colours and do not switch to your Telegram theme, so the board looks the same everywhere.

How to start

Tap Play in Telegram on our home page, or Open in Telegram on any game page.
Telegram opens our bot, and from there the games open in a panel inside the chat app.
Pick a game and press Start.

That is all. Telegram already knows who you are, so there is no separate sign-up. Opening the games does not create an account. An account is set up only when you buy something or when your progress is saved to our server.

What is the same as on the website

All 15 games. Focus, memory, reaction, logic and words, with 15 levels in each.
Free up to level 5. Every game, and the free levels stay free.
The daily challenge. One game and one level each day, free for everyone.
Your best on every level. Each round is compared with your own previous best, not with other players.
The rules and the scoring. A round in Telegram is the same round as on the website.

What is different

No ads. The website shows an ad after some rounds in the free version. Inside Telegram there are no ads at all, whether you have bought anything or not.
Buying happens right there. In Telegram you pay without leaving the game. On the website the Buy button sends you to our Telegram bot to pay.
Your account is your Telegram. You do not need an email or a password.

What is saved

Your results and bests are saved on the device you play on, as on the website. After a purchase, or when your progress is synced, your bests are also stored with your Telegram account on our server, and a smaller result never overwrites a bigger one.

The same account works on the website. If you sign in there with the same Telegram, the full version you bought in Telegram opens on the website too, and your bests from both places are merged. This is meant to keep your records when you switch to a new phone or clear your browser.

Paying with Telegram Stars

Telegram Stars are Telegram's own in-app currency for digital goods and services. According to Telegram's documentation for developers, you buy Stars through the usual Apple or Google in-app purchase, or through Telegram's @PremiumBot, and then spend them in bots and mini apps. The payment window is Telegram's own, and it does not ask for your name, address or card details.

In Tyamka, Stars buy the full version. It opens levels 6 to 15 in every game and removes ads on the website. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription. The price in Stars is shown before you confirm, and nothing renews. After the payment the game checks it with our server and opens the levels. If the check takes a moment, the game says so rather than showing you a locked level.

Games worth trying in Telegram

Short rounds suit a chat app, whether you have a minute in a queue or a few minutes on the bus. Some of the games have no article on this blog yet, so here are a few to start with.

[Word Grid](/en/games/word-grid/). Join touching letters into words before the time runs out. It works in English and in Ukrainian, with its own Ukrainian word list, and we cover how that list was built in a Ukrainian word game.
[Odd Shape](/en/games/odd-one-out/). One figure in the grid differs from the rest. Find it before the time is up.
[Two Piles](/en/games/card-sorting/). Send cards left or right by a rule that changes, first by shape, then by colour. On later levels the rule switches several times between cards, so read it each time.
[Opposites](/en/games/block-puzzle/). Fill the board with pieces so that every dark square lands on a light one and every light square on a dark one.
[Pipes](/en/games/pipe-puzzle/). Turn tiles until the pipes join into one network with no open ends.

Mini apps also open in Telegram on a computer, and there the games take keyboard input as well as clicks.
