Focus games for adults and attention tests online

Five short games where you look for one thing and ignore the rest. Each will open in the browser, levels 1 to 5 are free, and a round takes a minute or two.

The five games

In the Schulte table you find shuffled numbers in order, on a grid that grows from 3×3 to 7×7. The Stroop test shows a color word printed in another color, and you name the ink, not the word. Arrow Rule does the same with direction. An arrow points one way and a rule tells you to answer the same way or the opposite way.

Odd Shape fills a grid with figures and hides one that is turned, resized or drawn a little differently. Two Piles deals cards one at a time and asks you to sort them by shape or by color, and on later levels the rule changes between cards.

What an online attention test can tell you

The Schulte table and the Stroop task both started as paper tests in psychology. Here they are games with levels, lives and points. Your time and your score show how you did in that round on that device. They are not a measure of your attention in general, and we do not claim that playing improves it outside the game.

A result also moves with things that have nothing to do with you, like a slow phone, a small screen, a mouse instead of a finger or the time of day. That is why each round is compared only with your own best, never with other players.

Where to start

If you have never played any of these, start with the Schulte table. The rules fit in one sentence and the first levels take under a minute. Then try the Stroop test and Arrow Rule, which feel alike but pull you in different ways. Odd Shape and Two Piles also have a time limit, and in both a wrong answer costs a life, just as a miss does.

Every game on this page has 15 levels. Your results and bests will be saved in the browser or in Telegram, wherever you play.
